Join us for a guided tour exploring the philosophy, beauty, and legacy of the Arts & Crafts Movement through two of the Lake District’s finest houses: Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house , designed by M.H. Baillie Scott, and Broad Leys , a private lakeside residence designed by renowned architect C.F.A. Voysey. Led by our knowledgeable guide, this tour invites you to explore the craftsmanship, stories, and design details that define these iconic early 20th-century buildings—each one unique, rooted in nature and radical for their time. You’ll begin at Broad Leys and end your afternoon at Blackwell, where your visit will conclude with a traditional cream tea in our Tea Room or out on the terrace, overlooking Windermere.
