Martin Stephenson & The Daintees hail from the North East of England. Their debut single ‘ Roll On Summertime ‘ was released in 1982 on Kitchenware Records (home of Prefab Sprout, The Kane Gang, Hurrah! ). ‘ Boat To Bolivia ‘ was the debut album by Martin Stephenson & The Daintees . After appearances on Channel 4 ‘s ‘ The Tube ‘ and BBC2 ‘s ‘ Whistle Test’ the album went on to become one of the essential releases of 1986. In 1988, the second Martin Stephenson & The Daintees album ‘ Gladsome, Humour & Blue ’ was released which featured the singles ’ There Comes A Time ’ & ‘ Wholly Humble Heart ’.
