Discounted entry at Abbot Hall during Kendal Mountain Festival
Abbot Hall
Kirkland, Kendal
As part of our Kendal Mountain Festival 2026 offer, we’re offering discounted day entry to Abbot Hall.
Your ticket gives you access to all of Abbot Hall’s current exhibitions and galleries, including Russell Mills: Darkness Visible , Flowing from the Fells , the Ecology Gallery and our collection displays.
Explore artworks inspired by landscape, nature, place and identity from Russell Mills’ immersive film and sound installation to works inspired by Cumbria’s rivers, streams and natural environment.
Visitors can also explore the Ecology Gallery, which tells stories of local landscape and wildlife while examining the impact of human activity on the environment we share here in Cumbria.
In our collection galleries, discover art through the ages, from historic to contemporary works. Highlights include pieces by George Romney, Kurt Schwitters, Bridget Riley, Barbara Hepworth and Charmaine Watkiss, alongside many others.
Visiting with children? Follow Sully the Cat’s Art Trail, a fun and family-friendly way to explore the gallery together.
Please note that discounted tickets are day entry tickets only. If you would like to visit again, you can upgrade to an Annual Pass on the day and enjoy 12 months of unlimited access to Abbot Hall’s exhibitions, creative displays, seasonal events and most family activities during Cumbria’s school holidays.
