Ian Stone
Wednesday 11 November · 20:00 – 22:00
Brewery Arts, Kendal
“Life can’t just be the humdrum, the mundane and the routine before the inevitable slide of disease, decay and death. Why can’t we sneak in a bit of awesome, a tad of amazing and maybe a smidge of wonderful?” A forest canopy opening onto a huge vista would be enchanting for some but Ian’s ancestors wondered the desert for forty years, they’ve been outdoors enough. Others get their fix from the spiritual but Ian’s been harbouring a grudge against God since his mother stopped him going to Arsenal after his Barmitzvah. Forty-nine years ago. ‘God will be watching’ she said. Well, at least he got to see the game. The point is, life could be so much better so Ian’s on the lookout. Come and join him on the hunt. Ian Stone is a hugely experienced broadcaster, podcaster and writer and a brilliantly funny comedian. He performs at major comedy festivals and venues globally. His popular posts and reels on social media have quickly earned him a following of over 60k across BlueSky, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, amassing millions of views. Aside from stand-up comedy, Ian co-hosted the award-winning Rock ‘N’ Roll Football show on Absolute Radio for five years with Ian Wright. He currently presents a very popular (50k downloads per episode), twice-weekly Arsenal podcast, Handbrake Off, for The Athletic. A live version of the podcast recently sold out Leicester Square Theatre in London. Ian is also a regular contributor on Times Radio. His book To Be Someone was published in 2020 and has received nearly 500 four- and five-star reviews on Amazon.
Alfie Moore: Acopalypse Now
Saturday 6 February · 19:30 – 19:30
Brewery Arts, Kendal
The Four Horsemen of Economic Unrest, War, Global Warming and AI are galloping towards us. Are we on the road to hell? And can we avoid the potholes? In his brand new tour show ‘Fair Cop’ Alfie has the antidote to the breakdown of law and order, fake news and the price of baked beans. He’s encountered more than his fair share of egotistical dictators in his policing career and learnt when pragmatism, and more than a dash of laughter, can defuse even the most menacing showdown. Join Alfie as he saddles up to see off those bullies on their pesky ponies. Doomsday is no laughing matter, but this show certainly is.

Here’s a candle in the dark. Contagious and whispering. And you can take it with you when you leave. As seen on Would I Lie To You? , Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown . Ross Noble: Cranium Of Curiosities
Friday 23 April · 21:00 – 23:00
Brewery Arts, Kendal
Roll up, roll up! Or use a more conventional form of transport to get to the show. It’s entirely your choice. Unless you accidentally become trapped in a barrel*. Should that happen, then just find an incline and start rolling to see the one and only Ross Noble! He is the Wizard of Waffle, The Rambler Royale, The Noodlers’ Noodler, and he’s back live on stage to tour a tornado of tangents. What the show will be about is anybody’s guess, but that’s all part of the fun when you look inside his Cranium of Curiosities. *We strongly advise trying not to get trapped in a barrel before or during the performance. Despite the expression “barrel of laughs,” it may impede your enjoyment of the show.
