The journey began in 2011 with their debut single “Ferocious Dog,” laying the foundation for a diverse and profound discography. Connolly’s powerhouse vocals lead the charge, blending mischief, protest and vulnerability into something fiercely human and utterly live. Honeyfeet holds all of this together with a groove and a commitment to musical freedom. The lineup consists of Lorien Garth Edwards on bass, Ellis Davies on guitar, John Ellis on keyboards, Biff Roxby on brass, and Phill Howley on drums form a fluid and fearless musical unit. At the heart of Ríoghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet is the indomitable Ríoghnach Connolly, whose voice is equal parts fierce, tender and fearless, connecting ancestral song traditions with contemporary storytelling. She has won the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award for Best Folk Singer and BBC Radio 2’s Folk Singer of the Year. John Bramwell of I Am Kloot

As the singer in I Am Kloot from 1999 to 2014, John Bramwell achieved a Mercury Prize nomination for 2010’s The Sky At Night , a Top 10 chart position for 2013’s Let It All In , numerous UK and European tours and a triumphant farewell at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with an orchestra in 2014. Now, as a solo artist, Bramwell travels a very different path, a path that criss-crosses the length and breadth of the UK with a humble agenda of taking his heartwarming songs to the stage and enjoying another moment in time with his devoted fans. The stunning 2023 sophomore solo album, The Light Fantastic was an almost complete u-turn from the I Am Kloot outlook they were known for. Darker clouds banished and in replacement strings, four-part harmonies (a warming development, since Kloot never had any backing vocals) and a dozen gloriously exhilarating, beautifully crafted and observed songs about life, humanity, the universe and everything. As John put it, “It’s been great to find the joy of making music once again. These are the most uplifting songs of my career.” The album received unanimous praise from the UK press but it is the all-encapsulating live show where Bramwell conjures up his true magic as songwriter and performer. Bramwell has been on a never-ending rolling adventure since his workings away from Kloot and in the last three years has visited almost every parish in England, Scotland and Wales to be met with halls, theatres, arts centres, churches, festival tents and folk clubs full with his eager fans waiting to see which direction Bramwell will take the mood of the night – the enriched, wildly playful inter-song banter is so good, a stand up comedy tour has been contemplated. Bramwell’s razor sharp wit, on the line and refreshingly true [and often hilarious] observations and instantly recognisable haunting vocal channelled through some of the most honest and direct songwriting of our times has seen Bramwell championed in rave reviews, time after time. For more than a decade, Mama’s Broke , the Canadian duo of Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria , have forged a style carried across landscapes rather than tied to one. Their forthcoming 12-song LP Reunion , out August 28, follows years in near-constant motion, bringing their folk-without-borders approach to small clubs, DIY spaces, and everywhere in between. Winners of the Canadian Folk Music Award for Ensemble of the Year for their 2017 debut Count the Wicked , their music is rooted in long days playing for passing crowds and traveling by foot, as well as in the deep wells of folk lineage they’ve tapped into across Eastern Canada, Appalachia, Ireland, and beyond. Their sound doesn’t belong to any one place so much as it passes through them, grounded in the traditions that shaped it. That foundation was built long before stages and studio sessions, in traveling communities where music functioned as both currency and connection. The two met within a global network of musicians funding their way through shared songs, carrying only what they could as they traded melodies and stories across the miles. Playing for hours at a time on the street demanded a repertoire that could hold attention and sustain emotion, drawing them deep into traditional material and the discipline of close harmony. Over time, the songs became a common language, connecting what came before with the music they were making together. Building on their JUNO-nominated album Narrow Line (2022), Reunion reflects a world coming apart in plain sight, tracing fractured communities, the erosion of shared ground, and the growing awareness that the systems we were taught to trust no longer hold or deliver the promises they were meant to keep. The songs don’t preach or prescribe; they reflect, holding up a mirror and leaving space for something else to take shape. Recorded just outside Nashville in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Reunion features subtle contributions from bassist Paul Kowert (Gillian Welch & David Rawlings) and others, adding depth without pulling focus from the record’s acoustic core. At its heart, Mama’s Broke remains what it has always been: two voices, intertwined, both fragile and enduring. Reunion asks what it means to make something that lasts: not a place you’re from, or even a place you return to, but what you make together, and how long it lasts, if you tend to it.

After appearances on Channel 4 ‘s ‘ The Tube ‘ and BBC2 ‘s ‘ Whistle Test’ the album went on to become one of the essential releases of 1986. In 1988, the second Martin Stephenson & The Daintees album ‘ Gladsome, Humour & Blue ’ was released which featured the singles ’ There Comes A Time ’ & ‘ Wholly Humble Heart ’. He’s “ the real deal” , said Mark Radcliffe, presenter of the BBC’s ‘Folk Show’ when Dublin’s Daoirí Farrell first appeared on the show back in 2016. Less than a year later the traditional Irish singer and bouzouki player was presented with two BBC Folk Awards at The Royal Albert Hall in London for his breakthrough album, ‘True Born Irishman’ . Folk Radio UK/KLOF said of Daoirí , “ He has the best Irish traditional voice currently around; if there’s better, I’ve yet to hear it.” He has gone on to release three further albums, and to tour and perform across the world, including at Celtic Connections (Scotland), the National Folk Festival (Australia), Milwaukee Irish Festival (U.S.A.), Rudostadt Festival (Germany), the National Concert Hall (Ireland) and Cambridge Folk Festival (England). He has been hailed by the greats of Irish folk music and received numerous nominations in Ireland’s RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards, with touring including a UK tour with the Transatlantic Sessions and USA tours as guest vocalist for Lúnasa. Daoirí has also performed with Ralph McTell and Dónal Lunny and even sung on the UK’s flagship news programme BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme. Nearly Dan’s approach is faithful, though not reverential, and relaxed but as tight as their namesakes. They bring their own unique spirit and spontaneous humour to every concert. It’s been over 50 years since the release of the first Steely Dan album “Can’t buy a Thrill”, featuring the hits “Do it Again” and “Reelin’ in the years.” Nearly Dan now in its 30th year on the road press on into 2027 with a full year of tour dates booked and an exciting new line up, showcasing a set list featuring deep cuts along with all the favourite Steely Dan classics. Malt Room Standing | Plus support from Ben Waters | On sale 10am 18 September Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham, the founding members of Nine Below Zero , started making music and playing live together in South East London back in 1977. Celebrating 50 years of creating and playing some of the finest UK Rhythm n Blues, Nine Below Zero are embarking on a bespoke European Tour in 2027, with very special guests joining them on stage, including legendary Jam bassist Bruce Foxton, fast-rising Zac Shulze, incredible blues pianist Ben Waters, guitarist Robbie McIntosh and long-standing co-performers Dr Feelgood. Nine Below Zero released their classic debut LP Live at the Marquee in 1980, the band kept the momentum going with Don’t Point Your Finger in 1981 before releasing their third LP on A&M Records, Third Degree (1982) with the front cover image shot by legendary photographer, David Bailey. Since 1988 they have released a further 20 LP’s in an incredible career and Mark Feltham has also been selected as harmonica-player by a whole host of acts including Oasis, Annie Lennox, Talk Talk and Rory Gallagher. Nine Below Zero toured with The Who and The Kinks in 1980 / 81 and also appeared on The Old Grey Whistle Test, The South Bank Show and perhaps most memorably, a cameo performance on the cult comedy The Young Ones. The Style Councillors: 'Café Bleu' Tour

The Style Councillors will be recreating the seminal debut LP by The Style Council, ‘Café Bleu’ , along with all of the hits and classics in the finest celebration of Paul Weller ’s 1980’s group where some of his finest songs were recorded. After the dissolution of The Jam in 1982, Paul Weller joined forces with Mick Talbot, formerly of Merton Parkas , Dexys Midnight Runners and The Bureau , to form The Style Council . The band released a string of successful singles between 1983-1989 such as Speak Like a Child, Money-Go-Round, Long Hot Summer, My Ever Changing Moods, You’re The Best Thing, Shout To The Top, Walls Come Tumbling Down, A Solid Bond In Your Heart, Come To Milton Keynes, The Lodgers, and more. The Style Councillors are a 9-piece band who were formed in 2013 by Darren Fletcher . Iarla Ó LionÁird reunites with fellow member of The Gloaming, hardanger d’amore fiddle visionary Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, alongside pianist-composer Cormac McCarthy. This new trio traces luminous paths between Irish song and folk instrumental tradition, contemporary classical music and jazz. Iarla Ó Lionáird’s voice has long occupied a place between worlds: rooted in the unaccompanied sean-nós tradition of his native West Cork, yet equally at home within contemporary classical, electronic and orchestral settings. Here, it becomes the focal point for a newly formed trio of exceptional subtlety and range. Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh’s ten-string Hardanger d’amore surrounds the voice with bowed lines, drones and shimmering sympathetic resonance. Cormac McCarthy’s piano brings a different dimension: spacious and lyrical, but informed by his deep experience of jazz, traditional music and large-scale orchestral arrangement. Together, the three musicians create a sound that can move from near silence to startling intensity. The programme draws on Irish-language songs and poetry, Iarla’s solo repertoire and music associated with The Gloaming. Iarla and Caoimhín were central to that group’s transformation of Irish traditional music into a new form of chamber music, heard at the Royal Albert Hall, Lincoln Center, Sydney Opera House and across an extended series of residencies at Dublin’s National Concert Hall. Together, the trio continue that spirit of exploration.
